Getting here

The nearest village to Stable cottage is Bardon Mill in the South Tyne Valley. Despite its rural location, it is served by regular train and 685 bus services. Both run between Carlisle to Newcastle. If, however, you’re travelling along Hadrian’s Wall, the AD122 tourist bus stops at The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre. If you don’t have a car – don’t worry – we’ll get you the last mile to your accommodation (or that bit further, if you’ve alighted at the larger town of Haltwhistle!). For travel details, check out www.trainline.com or www.stagecoachbus.com If, however, you arrive by car, we have dedicated parking and even an EV charger to top up your range although there is an ever-increasing network of chargers in the area www.zap-map.com
